Gem State DPC Sponsors a Night of Hope & Celebration
Gem State DPC was proud to serve as the official beer koozie sponsor for this year’s annual fundraiser supporting Safe Harbor’s vital mission to combat human trafficking.
Represented by our Operations Manager, Ashley Rider, we joined a powerful evening that beautifully blended advocacy with celebration.
Held under the stars, the event featured wine tastings, local vendors, fresh floral installations, photo ops, and dancing—all in support of Safe Harbor’s work to provide shelter, healing, and hope for survivors. It was a night of connection, compassion, and community impact—and we were honored to be part of it.

Gem State DPC Attends Kyle Fest 2025: Get Behind a Cure 🎗️
On August 21 and 22, Gem State DPC closed its doors to stand beside Valerie Rounds and the Spane family at Kyle Fest 2025—a heartfelt tribute to a beloved friend lost too soon to colon cancer at age 35. Held at Knutson Farms in Sumner, WA, the event brought together barbecue, music, and community in support of the Kyle Thomas Spane Endowment at Fred Hutch.
It was an evening where remembrance met purpose, and where grief was transformed into collective action toward a cure. Gem State DPC was honored to be part of this meaningful mission.

Reminder: A colonoscopy might not sound fun, but it can save your life. Colon cancer is highly treatable when caught early — and screening is the first step. Ask Valerie about scheduling your next colonoscopy!

Transformation Starts with Understanding
At Gem State DPC, we believe every wellness journey deserves tools that are just as dedicated as you are. The Styku body scanner gives you a 360° view of your health—with millimeter-level accuracy that tracks shifts in fat, muscle, and posture over time.
Over the last month, we have introduced the newest addition to Gem State DPC’s personalized care experience: the Styku 3D Body Scanner—a cutting-edge tool that transforms how we track health, fitness, and progress.
In just 35 seconds, Styku captures millions of data points to create a precise, 3D model of your body. This non-invasive scan provides detailed measurements of waist, hips, thighs, and more—with less than 1% error—allowing us to monitor changes over time and assess health risks with remarkable accuracy.
Whether you're working toward fitness goals, managing chronic conditions, or simply curious about your body’s composition, Styku offers a powerful, visual way to stay motivated and informed. It’s more than a scan—it’s a snapshot of your journey.
Why patients love it:
• No poking, pinching, or guesswork
• Visual progress tracking that goes beyond the scale
• Insight into body fat percentage, posture, and risk factors
• A motivating tool for weight management and wellness plans
We’re proud to offer this advanced technology as part of our commitment to thoughtful, data-driven care. Ask us about adding a Styku scan to your next visit—it’s quick, empowering, and surprisingly fun.

Fueling Wellness: Gem State DPC’s Instagram Meal Plans Support Every Journey
In last month’s newsletter, Gem State Direct Primary Care introduced its offerings of GLP-1 Receptor Agonist Therapy—a clinically proven treatment for patients managing type 2 diabetes and obesity. These medications enhance glucose-dependent insulin secretion, suppress glucagon release, and slow gastric emptying, resulting in improved glycemic control and meaningful weight loss.
However, nutritional support plays a critical role in maximizing the benefits of GLP-1 therapy. A high-protein, fiber-rich diet can significantly improve satiety, stabilize blood sugar levels, and support long-term success.
As part of its commitment to patient-centered care, Gem State DPC launched a series of curated daily meal plans on Instagram, designed to support individuals exploring keto nutrition, following a plant-based vegan lifestyle, or undergoing GLP-1 therapy.
The initiative has gained momentum among patients and followers, reflecting the clinic’s broader mission to provide practical tools for sustainable wellness.
Each meal plan featured gentle, easy-to-digest recipes that promote satiety, minimize blood sugar fluctuations, and encourage mindful eating. Accompanied by vibrant visuals and concise instructions, the clinic’s Instagram feed (@gemstatedpc) has quickly become a trusted resource for patients seeking inspiration and guidance in the kitchen.
“Our goal is to make nutrition approachable and enjoyable,” said Operations Manager Ashley Rider. “We know that dietary needs vary widely, and we want every patient—whether they’re trying keto, embracing plant-based eating, or navigating GLP-1 therapy—to feel supported and empowered.”
Patient Engagement and Feedback
Gem State DPC wants to hear from you! Should we plan to continue expanding its meal plan offerings, with future content potentially including seasonal recipes, budget-friendly options, and family-style meals? If so, please let us know.
