What’s Included in Your Membership at Gem State DPC? (And How to Make the Most of It)
At Gem State Direct Primary Care, we do things differently—on purpose. Our model is built to simplify healthcare, deepen relationships, and remove the barriers that too often make care feel impersonal. Lately, we’ve heard many patients say, “I didn’t know you do that.” Let’s change that. Here’s what your membership includes—so you can make the most of it:
Unlimited Office Visits—No Extra Copays: Need to be seen for a cough, sore back, mole check, or just want to ask questions face-to-face? You’re always welcome. Your membership includes as many in-person visits as you need, with no additional fees or surprise bills. Don’t wait until something is serious to come in. Preventive care and check-ins can be just as important as treatment.
Direct Access to Your Provider: Skip the phone trees. You have direct communication with your provider via text, email, video, or phone—even outside typical clinic hours. If you’re unsure whether something warrants an appointment, shoot us a message! Valerie can be reached directly at 208-213-2433.
In-House Labs & Procedures at Transparent Pricing: From cholesterol checks to strep tests to skin tag removal—basic labs and procedures are either included in your membership or offered at deeply discounted rates. Ask during your next visit what services we can offer in-house—it could save you both time and money.
Personalized Medication Support: Whether you're managing a chronic condition or just need a routine prescription, we help you find the most affordable and convenient way to get your medications. For many, we can offer prescriptions in-house and at-cost, send prescriptions early, pre-date controlled meds, or adjust dosages as needed. Planning ahead? Let us know and we’ll handle the rest.
Mental Health Conversations Welcome: Your emotional well-being is part of your health story. We’re here to listen, provide support, and help connect you to the right resources if needed. Don’t hesitate to bring up stress, anxiety, or life transitions—we offer a safe, judgment-free space.
Care That Grows With You: Because we’re not billing insurance for each visit, we’re not rushed. That means more time spent listening, following up, and adjusting care based on what matters to you—not what a computer screen dictates. Let us know what your goals are—health-related or beyond. We're here to walk alongside you in them. Choose a 30- or 60-minute visit using our website’s self-scheduling tool.
Back by popular demand: Styku is on it’s way: Back by popular demand! Styku creates a detailed, non-invasive 3D scan of your body in under a minute—no radiation, no contact. It tracks hundreds of metrics, visualizes progress, and helps set personalized health goals. Our unit is en route—can’t wait to see your wellness journey in 3D again soon!
Still Have Questions? We love when patients ask how they can get more from their membership. That’s the whole point—this care is yours. If there’s a benefit you’re unsure about or a service you didn’t know was included, just ask. At Gem State DPC, you’re more than a chart or a copay. You’re part of a community centered on trust, kindness, and partnership. Here’s to care that works for you—because you deserve it.

The Power of Walking: Small Steps, Big Change
At Gem State DPC, we believe in simple, sustainable ways to support lifelong health—and few things are as powerful (or underrated) as walking. Whether it’s a brisk morning stroll or a peaceful evening lap around the block, walking isn’t just good for your body—it’s a gift to your mind and spirit.
Walking is often overlooked because it feels... ordinary. But don’t let that simplicity fool you. Regular walking can reduce your risk of chronic conditions like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancers. It improves circulation, supports weight maintenance, and strengthens joints and muscles—all without special equipment or a gym. Plus, it’s low-impact and gentle on the knees, making it sustainable for nearly every stage of life.
But the benefits aren’t just physical. Even short walks can ease stress, lower cortisol, boost energy and mood, improve focus, and promote better sleep. There’s a reason great ideas often arrive mid-stride—walking calms the nervous system and sparks creativity.
You don’t need to walk for hours to see results. Just 30 minutes a day, five days a week, can make a real difference. Too much at once? Try three 10-minute walks—your heart won’t mind. For extra motivation, walk with a friend, listen to a podcast, or explore a new trail. Pairing walking with enjoyment makes it easier to stick with.
At Gem State DPC, we encourage movement as part of holistic care. If you're building a new routine or wondering how walking fits into your plan, we’re here—judgment-free and ready to support you. Need help setting goals or tracking progress? Just ask.
Here’s to walking toward wellness—one step at a time.
Thank you for reading!
